There were alot of interesting people at the Sinatra Salute in the Century Plaza but none as interesting as Chuck Connors and his intended, Faith Quabius. They were inseparable the entire evening. A regular lovesome.
Chuck and Faith were married in 1977 and divorced in 1979.
Chuck " The Rifleman" Connors and Wife Heading for Bitter Divorce
The two-year marriage of Chuck Connors and his wife has crumbled into dust- and the couple are heading for a nasty showdown in divorce court.
The marriage has turned into such a bitter battle that Connors kicked Faith off of his ranch in Bear Valley Springs, Ca.
In her legal petition for support, the 39-year-old actress says that her husband asked her to leave the ranch and all but threw her out
Court documents filed by her attorney show that Faith is requesting $5,825.00 a month in support payments.
Faith said, " I'm not clear on why it's happening, but I'd say the problem with our marriage was that familiarity bred contempt. There were difficulties with egos between the two of us."
" There were no violent outbursts between us. It was the internal pressures of two creative people that parted us. We were both wrong to some extent. The marriage was not working."
Faith also said that Chuck was a recluse who avoids Hollywood and refuses to socialize-even though it would have helped her acting career. " If we had gotten out more and done the Hollywood socializing bit, it would have helped my career," she said. " It's necessary. I left my career when we married. It's difficult to pick up my career again."
Chuck's representative said, " Mr. and Mrs. Connors are getting a divorce but at this point he has no comment."
Interesting! Thanks for the info. It's great that she's so mature about it - not blaming Chuck but admitting that they were both to blame and it was because of who they were - not anything Chuck did or anything she did... _________________ Michelle
"Of course, I didn’t ask her about cookin’ and such, cause all women can do that."
But still wanted almost 6 grand a month..lol! That was a heck of a lot of money back then. Heck, that's a lot now.. _________________ Well, Micah, if a town's got a jail that's empty and its street's are quiet at night, the law is well done. ~ Lucas McCain
