I know there's several we haven't heard from lately, but the one's I'm thinking of now are PJH and Starlet 16...I hope all is well with them.  I certainly miss reading their remarks!  Hopefull EVERYONE will be back on board soon!

Michelle, thanks for thinking of me.  I'm glad to be back---I had a severe case of Shingles and spent the last week in bed taking antiviral and pain medication.  Everything I have ever heard about Shingles is true and then some.  I'm somewhat better this week, but it can take two full weeks for a complete recovery.

Isn't shingles somehow related to chicken pox?  If you've had chicken pox, then you don't get shingles or something like that???

OUCH!!! I've heard they are bad.  I was really worried (ask Margie) - I'm glad everything's okay!  It's good to "see" you back!

Thanks, Michelle.  You can only get shingles if you have had chicken pox.  The virus lays dormet in you body for all of these years and then, due to stress or being run-down, it manifests itself again.  You get the same pox marks, only this time they affect the nerve endings in your skin and there is lots of pain.

There is a vaccination you can get if you are over 60, but I wasn't quite old enough yet---

Good to see you back PJ. Yeah, chicken pox, shingles, cold sores are a form of herpes virus. I've had the pox and I hope I avoid the shingles, but it does lay dormant in you for life..

Yikes!  I had a REALLY bad case of them when I was 11 or so...I had chicken pox inside my body, as well as outside - sick for an ENTIRE week...my brother got just a light case of 'em...I hope it's not the worse your pox, the better a chance you get the shingles!!!

I am here, and I am fine.   I always had the time for a quick look into the forum, but not so much time for a longer comment...

( And I wait for my Chuck Connors-Book and the 1. Season of "Arrest & Trial". I found good prizes that I could not resist. So I had to buy both.   )

Margie heard from Donna yesterday.  She received a surprise call for her birthday.

Anyway, Donna is still having computer problems and hopes when she visits family over the holidays, they can resovle the issues and she'll be back on line.

I can't wait.

Deanne, I'm glad Donna is doing well and hope she will be back on line soon.  I'm trying to address my own computer problems, but may also have to totally shut down.  If I have to do that, I will let all of you know when I am back to normal again. Until then, no emails (please) and may you all have WONDERFUL holidays!  Just know I will all miss you all terribly.
Blessings and Love to All, Chris

I know I am not able to be here as much as I used to.  After December 30th I will not be on at all for a spell.  I HAVE to keep my foot up after surgery.  It took 10 weeks for my other foot last year.

I talked to Maureen a few weeks ago.  She broke her hand.  She is not able to get on line like she used to either.

Jules,

I recommend asking Santa for a lap top computer to work from your lap, with your foot propped up.

But if Santa won't bring you a laptop, we'll patiently wait for your foot to heal so you can visit with your McCain Ranch Family.
