For those of you who thought I dropped out of sight, I did - for awhile - I was sick and had severe back pains, so wasn't doing any surfing for a number of days. When I went back to our website, I noticed I hadn't been getting any topic replies after I made a post, such as to the Word Association Games. I tried it again today - I left a post on each word game, then went back to our site a couple hours later and saw someone had added a post and I received no email notification. Michelle or Deanne, if you read this post, send me a regular email and let me know your opinion of what could be going on here.... _________________ WISCONSIN'S #1 RIFLEMAN FAN
Did you ever get them? As far as I know, you aren't notified unless you request to be notified. The only notification I get is on new topics for games because I requested it... _________________ Michelle

Yes, I was getting them all along until about a week ago, when I stopped posting for about 4 or 5 days. Whenever I post, I always check "Notify me when a reply is posted". I even checked my profile and re-checked the box there about getting a topic reply notification. Why would I suddenly stop getting notification emails? I just upgraded my antivirus program - could that have done something? Since the upgrade, my Roxio Disc Copier is acting goofy, too. _________________ WISCONSIN'S #1 RIFLEMAN FAN
I had a problem a couple of days with log in. When I came to the site I wouldn't be loggd in and when I went to log in, usually I just click it and my name will come up, but it wouldn't. I had to type it in every time. But now it's working great.
Sorry you've been sick but sure glad you're feeling better.
Thanks for the good wishes - I just got a novocaine shot in my back (always thought that was only used in your mouth), and my back stiffness is greatly reduced. Also got more PT appointments and another prescription for an anti-inflammatory, so I should be able to go back to fairly normal duties at work.
Glad you like the new avatar, Stargazer - I don't have too many to choose from (I think 4)....
Still not getting email topic replies, so I guess I'll just have to log on and go to new posts - not a big deal. Thanks, guys! _________________ WISCONSIN'S #1 RIFLEMAN FAN
I found out that when my e:mail service provider merged with G-Mail, it has its own splam blocking program. It blocks messages before they even arrive in Outlook. Boy, you want to tell me that didn't cause me problems, it was blocking IMPORTANT messages. I had over 500 blocked messages to view to find the ones that shouldn't have been blocked and then I had to approved of the unblocking of each one. Geesh!
To this day, I have to go into my e:mail two different ways to see what messages are blocked. I hate the way e:mails look via my service provider's website and just feel more comfortable using Outlook. But to make sure they haven't blocked important messages, I HAVE to go to their website.

No, but I did notice something just now - before, when I went to post a reply, I always had to check the box, "Notify me when a reply is posted". Now, I just noticed that box is already checked before I submit the post and, without looking, I was 'checking' the notification box. Maybe what I was actually doing was unchecking the box. I'm going to leave the box checked this time and see if a reply comes through! _________________ WISCONSIN'S #1 RIFLEMAN FAN
Chris, earlier tonight I clicked on the "watch all posts" at the bottom, thinking that would send replies to my inbox, but there have been many replies tonight and you wanta guess how many made it to my inbox???
ZIP-O...
Conclusion: It's the My Free Forum, not us...So hang in there, maybe the problem will be fixed soon. _________________ Michelle
