“Just Remember the Lessons!”
There is always a lesson to learn when you watch “The Rifleman.” There is no better teacher for Mark than his father, Lucas McCain. Lucas teaches Mark from “The Bible” and from experience. Sometimes the lessons are hard ones and at times rather easy ones. They are still lessons learned! Let’s discuss the lessons learned in each episode. “Every lesson you learn makes you a better partner.” “Just remember the lessons!”

Mark's Room
Mark McCain was a fine contribution to The Rifleman and as important to the show as the rifleman himself. Let's give him the attention he deserves by talking about Johnny's character, his sweet nature and sensitivity. Always learning from Lucas sometimes the hard way, fear of losing his only parent, times he got into trouble, their respect for each other, and how he was portrayed as a motherless kid but had the insight and determination of a disciplined adult. Let's share our thoughts about Johnny Crawford the actor, musician, teen idol and downright fabulous guy.
Chuck Connors “Significant Other” Work
Everybody knows Chuck Connors for his role as Lucas McCain in "The Rifleman." He also did so many other things. He was good at no matter what he did! Besides The Rifleman what else have you enjoyed seeing Chuck in?
Johnny Crawford's “Significant Other” Work

The Battle Within A Young Gun
The Battle Within A Young Gun In the television series, The Rifleman, we are given one of the West’s most memorable fictional characters. Not only did he see extensive service in the Civil War, scout for the Army, fight Indians, serve the law, and become a cattle rancher, he raised his only son as a single father. A number of episodes depicted Lucas as being haunted by characters from his past.
Donna's Corner

Frank's Place
In the television series, The Rifleman, we are given one of the West’s most memorable fictional characters. Not only did he see extensive service in the Civil War, scout for the Army, fight Indians, serve the law, and become a cattle rancher, he raised his only son as a single father. A number of episodes depicted Lucas as being haunted by characters from his past.
The Heart of the West
This is a non-Rifleman story that took place just after the Civil War ended. It's genre is "Christian Western Fiction." This story is about the adventures and trials of a young married couple who travel West on a wagon train from Arkansas.
Stargazer's Midnight Musings
Why the title? Well, I'm a night owl and, as Deanne can attest, I do my best writing late at night. Living vicariously in the 1880's through Lucas McCain and his son, Mark, here are my stories about the Rifleman including "The Test" and "Shadow of Vengeance." There's more to come and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I do writing them.

Did you ever wonder about Lucas and Margaret's families? Did you ever wonder how some of those characters came to be? Well...sit back with a hot cup of coffee and read how it all began!
Bring Back Milly Productions

The Margaret Years
This series begins when Lucas returns from his year of wandering. Margaret and Lucas are finally together. We watch their courtship, engagement, wedding, and living as man and wife. Little Mark is born, and unfortunately Mark and Lucas McCain must grieve for the death of their precious Margaret.
Rifleman: Generations--
Rifleman: Generations-- The modern day descendant of Lucas McCain returns to his families roots in the town of North Fork. Chance McCain becomes Deputy Sheriff and he, his father Norman McCain and son Jake keep up the family ranch and traditions. The famous Rifle is back too in what is essentially a "Modern day" version of our beloved, classic show.
Klara Boy's Room
Once there was a mysterious stranger who sometimes had ideas for stories about a famous trick rifle and its owner. So if you like to read those stories check out this room.

Rifleman's Serenade
Thank you for visiting “The Rifleman’s Serenade”. It has been a great honor to be able to write a novel form saga about our favorite Old West characters. This story is part three along with “The Battle within a Young Gun” and Fulton’s Foray”. Here is a short excerpt from the first introduction that will help to explain some the main theme of the entire three part story:
Clara's Corner aka CTW
Discovering the path of the stories in this corner will be an adventure for both author and readers. There are several ideas in "Remembering Wyoming" that might carry over into future stories. Perhaps, for example, each will include a trip that takes Mark and Lucas to a city that was critical to the development of the West in the 1880s. Perhaps one will put Mark in touch with the woman who invented the first automatic dishwasher in the early 1880s. (Imagine his delight!) Perhaps each will continue to tap into Mark's interest in music, exploring how music might have been part of the North Fork community's life. On the other hand, perhaps each will stand on its own. Whatever direction future stories take, readers can be assured that the primary theme will always be the unconditional love between father and son as defined by the creators and writers of the series and so beautifully portrayed by its two co-stars. If you enjoy "Remembering Wyoming," check back soon to discover which path is chosen for the next story.
The Civil War Years - One Writer's Reboot Written by Edward P
When the War Between the States broke out Lucas McCain answered the call-to-arms with his family’s American long rifle. But his success on the battlefield is not valued by his fellow soldiers. McCain is young, unsettled, and exploring other options for his life. Hoping to better his situation, a decision he makes causes McCain’s time of enlistment to be more difficult.
Soquilii's Corner
'A cool night breeze brings the scent of burning sage; a Cherokee flute plays softly in the background and a warm fire glows in Soquilii's Corner where you're invited to sit and listen to tales of The Rifleman.'
